What a wonderful fortnight. I can’t imagine how one could do much better: the advantages of a small organization where everyone is committed, a small hotel used to the organization and to the idiosyncracies of Australians with ability to be flexible about meal times. We’ve had Neil’s ability to talk clearly and enthusiastically about the art, but also the contexts in which it was produced and the history and archaeology of the various places to which we’ve been, and his demonstration of the incredible expertise in developing and reproducing etchings. We have expert drivers, especially Felice, and Sue’s wonderful ability to keep all the details in her head, making things so easy for us. And Carol’s initial vision. All this has meant it has been so much easier for the 17 participants to relate to each other in a way which it would be difficult to believe could be more harmonious. …
