Dear Neil and Carol,
Thankyou both so much for our wonderful experience of the Mezzogiorno. The amazing landscapes
and beautiful artworks will stay with us as thrilling, lasting memories.
Please thank Katrin for the use of the stockings and pass on our love.
We were sorry, and apologise, for not having said goodbye to Marcello. He kept us feeling so safe. The departure from Bari
was a bit panicky really as AirOne staff stumbled about and farewells got a little bit lost.
Gra asked if you would mind putting the picture of the 1200-yr-old olive tree on an e-mail some time ---no hurry. We hope
you're handling the pressure of all of these trips, and the many demands of eager trippers well.At least you will
be able to hibernate with the bears for the winter!------no?
We send our very warmest good wishes and again our thanks-----
Graham and Di.

Dear Carol
I hope life is good for you and Neil
My regards and best wishes to you and your beautiful friends, especially Katerina,Frances, Giacomo and Geoffrey and to Guiseppi and Piero and family who were all so warm and generous to me.
Many, many thanks for a most wonderful month in Umbria and for all your care and generosity and for all the treasures you provided for me.
After all my ravings about how wonderful my holiday was, everyone is asking if I'm starting to plan my next trip.
Could I ask some favours, please Carol?
Frances sent me an email on my yahoo address but as I've been unable to access it would you mind asking her if she could email me on this address please and give her my love.
Please give Geoffrey my regards and best wishes. I've been thinking of him and hoping his courtcase was successful and his painting returned to him. The photos taken in his studio are great
Please give Katerina my thanks for all her loving care and her delightful company
Rom and I celebrated the 1000th anniversary of the Feast of St Romuald last Thursday. I can't thank you and Giacomo enough for the wonderful pilgrimage to Umbertide that you made possible for me. Rom is in seventh heaven about it and the fact that this special anniversary occurred this year makes it a Miracle . In talking to the local priest in Umbertide on my behalf Giacomo found out about this anniversary.Would you please pass on my grateful thanks to Giacomo for that special day and for all his care. I will write to him when I have his email.
My love and my thanks for a most precious, special month . I miss you all

Hi, Carol and Neil--
I still am savoring the wonderful, informative and happy six weeks I spent with you and the rest of the Living Italy team. How many guests have gone to 4 farewell dinners?! I always feel so energized and ready for further knowledge after one of your trips. Your generous offer of the apartment made it possible. I also appreciate all your help after I hurt my ankle (it is fine now). Thank you again.
I just finished an article in the July/August Arther Frommer's Budget Travel magazine about Santo Stefano. Did you know that Daniele Kihlgren, who owns it, discovered it when he got lost on his motorcyle exploring the Abruzzi mountains? Neil, the travel writer I have enjoyed is H.V. Morton. He wrote books on Rome, Italy and Southern Italy, as well as other countries.
I'll see you next year.
Ciao,
Diane

Which reminds me of our conversation about distributing Living Italy pamphlets. If you still have some to spare and/ or have some business cards, I could distribute probably about 50 pamphlets
Next Saturday I will be travelling to Adelaide and returning to Melbourne on Friday of next week.
Could I ask some favours, please Carol?

What can we say we have enjoyed our holiday very much. Our hotel, our guide our bus driver were all great. Many thanks
David and Beth Morgan, Cherrybrook, Sydney Australia
A lovely holiday. One of the most enjoyable in the list of great holidays – great hosts, great scenery.
Eileen Johnson
I read an article on Umbria one that totally convinced me that it was the place not to be missed and the last week has confirmed my expectations – so much of interest and beauty – along with warm people to help us out. My thanks for an unforgettable week.
Nola Desmarchelier
We know that you must be a good person Carol as you have some wonderful people working with you. Together you have given us a great experience, an education which had been neglected in regard to Umbrian history and a thoroughly enjoyable week within the Umbrian society.
Ian Watt
Beautiful countryside, charming people, a great team enthusiastic, competent and helpful, all in all a delightful experience which I shall wholeheartedly recommend.
Amy Watt Epping NSW Australia
Umbria Bella has been a wonderful experience. Thanks to everyone for making our week in Umbria so enjoyable and informative – way beyond our expectations.
Ellen and Hugh Gibbon
Great company, scenery, organisation, staff, kind and caring. Grazie
M. Dewar (Lucky me?!)
A most wonderful week – we really appreciated the friendly atmosphere and informed guides.
Jan and Peter Freeman
We loved every busy minute and are going back to buy a book on Umbria to read and comment all the knowledge we have acquired. Thanks especially also to Cristina and Analita who were so patient and kind as was Neil and Carol. Sorry that the above sounds a bit strange but we have just finished our farewell drinks! The food also was wonderful.
Prue and Rob Howse
We have had a wonderful experience beyond our expectations. Our guides have been most informative and most accommodating. We’ll give positive feedback to our travel agent.
Maureen and Bevan
We have both enjoyed our Umbrian holiday. We have been to Italy previously but not to the Umbrian region. The landscape is so beautiful with the ancient hilltop towns. We did appreciate the local knowledge and history that your tour imparts. We would have liked to visit Montefalco again but we have run out of time. We will recommend this tour to our friends. We hope to come back one day to see more of Umbria. Many thanks
